Choosing Goodwin Rehabilitation means choosing experience, compassion and support. Our expert therapists tailor every session to your goals, whether that’s returning to daily activities or pushing past new milestones. As part of Goodwin Living Health, we offer both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services that bring clinical excellence and human connection together.
Getting started is simple
To begin outpatient therapy, we just need a referral from your primary care provider or specialist. Once we receive your referral, we’ll work with you to schedule an evaluation and map out your care plan.
What to bring:
- A current referral for the service (they are good for 30 days)
- Insurance policy information (patient name and policy number)
- Any relevant medical history
Professional referrals
To refer a patient to Goodwin Rehabilitation, please provide:
- A signed referral dated within the past 30 days, including the patient’s medical diagnosis and physician contact information (fax number preferred)
- Optional: Recent medical records, such as the latest physician note, are appreciated and can help us prepare for outpatient services

Appointments take about 60 minutes and we recommend arriving 15 minutes early.
HOW TO PAY
Goodwin Rehabilitation accepts Medicare, Medicaid and most major private health insurance plans. We’ll work with you to verify your benefits and make sure you understand your coverage before starting therapy.

Our primary outpatient Goodwin Rehabilitation center is located at The View Alexandria at 5000 Fairbanks Ave, Alexandria, VA 22311, offering full access to state-of-the-art equipment and personalized therapy services. Rehabilitation services are also available at our other Goodwin Senior Living campuses, providing added convenience and flexibility for residents.
